Collecting data on sufferers of Myasthenia Gravis
Great news! Research through the University of Queensland is now underway. A survey produced by the Myasthenia Gravis Association of QLD Inc is being distributed for completion by diagnosed Australian sufferers of MG. Return mail to Doctors attached to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Brisbane sees the information collated and analysed in a secure environment. Doctors will be looking at a wide range of information for things such as, triggers to the condition, the range of treatments being used, financial and emotional costs to the community, the significance of associated conditions and much more. In general, it is hoped to raise awareness of this condition. Completing this survey gives sufferers the opportunity to share their experience. De-identified data will be made available to other researchers for the purpose of promoting additional research.
